EPIC Center Grupo Lince Social Additive Manufacturing

The first Social Additive Manufacturing Centre in Castilla y León

EPIC Center brings together industrial 3D printing, specialised training and inclusive employment in more than 1,500 m² in Valladolid. From design to finished part, backed by Grupo Lince.

From concept to part

Six phases, one team. Each phase adds a layer to the previous one.

  1. Design and engineering

We start from an idea, drawing, part or functional requirement to develop or adapt the digital model.

  2. 3D scanning

We capture geometries by laser, structured light or photogrammetry to reproduce, analyse or redesign parts.

  3. 3D printing

We select the process (FDM, SLA, SLS or MJF) according to use, geometry, material, finish and volume.

  4. Dimensional verification

We compare the physical part with the digital model for validation or improvement.

  5. Post-processing

Surface treatment, inserts, painting, airbrushing, hydro-dipping and assembly.

  6. Finishes

Functional and aesthetic finishes matched to the part's final use.

A technology for every requirement

We help you choose according to precision, finish, strength, volume and relative cost.

  • FDM · Fused deposition modelling

A plastic filament (such as PLA or ABS) is melted in an extruder that moves along the X, Y and Z axes. The molten material is deposited on a base and solidifies, building the 3D model layer by layer.

Best for: Functional parts, rapid prototypes and low-cost models.

  • SLA · Stereolithography

An ultraviolet laser “draws” the part on a light-sensitive liquid resin. As it solidifies layer by layer, a highly precise 3D model with very fine finishes is obtained.

Best for: Detailed prototypes, models of high aesthetic quality and parts with smooth surfaces.

  • SLS · Selective laser sintering

A thin layer of polymer powder is spread over the work surface. A high-power laser “draws” the cross-section of the part, melting the powder particles and fusing them together. The process is repeated until the full model is obtained.

Best for: Strong parts, complex geometries and short-run production with no need for supports.

  • MJF · Multi Jet Fusion

An industrial 3D printing process developed by HP. It works by applying liquid agents onto a layer of polymer powder and using an infrared light source to selectively fuse the material. It produces strong, precise parts at high speed.

Best for: Functional prototyping, short production runs and end-use parts.
